Throughout the whole story Loy seems to be confident in her words. She seems to be telling other women how they should carry themselves, and how women and men are different. The Manifesto seems to serve as a guide to keep an inequality between both men an women. What are some differences between men and women Loy writes about in her Manifesto?
Women solidified their position in society as humans by making 'ownership' of women by men unacceptable in western culture. However, Loy incorrectly suggests woman's personal place in society is still defined by the man's place in society. I can verify in the Western world, that the 'strong, independent woman' is fully thriving. A woman that seeks her own desires, not as a supplement to the man.
ReplyDeleteIn “The Feminist Manifesto” by Mina Loy, I liked how Loy used a strong tone of voice. She made it clear what her opinion was and how she felt. I do believe that there still is somewhat of a belief in society that men are superior to women, so her message is something that should affect us.
ReplyDeleteLoy's tone is very aggressive. It seems like she is reprimanding woman for telling themselves they are equal to men. She claims women and men are enemies. She is very firm in her distaste for men and women's view on women equality.
ReplyDeleteLoy made it clear in "The feminist Manifest" that she feels women are not equal to men. Her tone was really rugged and I could see why. Loy feels that men believe women belong in the house taking care of the children.
